R.I.P. Electra Heart ~ 8/9/13

Electra Heart was a character made up by the singer Marina Diamindis. Marina had included Electra in her career on August 8th 2011, with a song called "Part 1: Fear and Loathing". All of the stories in the Electra Heart saga are:

On Part 11, which came out exactly 2 years after the making of Fear and Loathing, Electra heart committed suicide (even though in the video, Marina Diamindis pulls off the blond 'Electra' wig and smears the heart on her cheek, symbolizing the end of the Electra Heart era.)

 

So, I made an artwork for the single of her newest release "Part 11: Electra Heart" (which is a very good song if you understand the concept). I actually used a picture of a regular, white statue to portray Electra, added a heart to her cheek and makeup to her eye so it'd look more like her, then I gave the statue a headband like Electra would usually wear.

Paramore ~ 8/8/13

Another CD layout that I've made, this time, of Paramore, an American Rock band, mostly popularized by lead singer Hayley Williams, who I've portrayed multiple time in this. The Album is called "I Caught Myself, which is a name of one of their songs.

Transformation ~ 7/31/13

This is my chara's transition from her first form to her next. She becomes darker and more of a maniac, seeing as how she has red and black eyes.

Bathroom Guy ~ 7/30/13

I made another gif, but of a guy walking out of a bathroom. That's it. We're just watching a guy walk out of the bathroom.

So I made a gif. I was going to animate Aubrey's transformation but I felt like that would take weeks so I just made a purple ribbon flying in the sky. Yep.

Aubrey Pinnock ~ 7/26/13

This is my character, Aubrey. This is obviously one of the most girly things I've created. Anyway, Aubrey is a cross between a human and an animal, as is everyone else in this "show". In her case, she is mixed with a rabbit. Aubrey would be the main character in a manga if I ever made one and she would act nice, as her appearance would suggest (and by appearance I mean the soft colours on her dress) but she would actually be really...hardcore, I guess you could say. Like, on a casual day, she would dress down in, like, black tees and jeans, but when she would go to school or something like that she'd wear...a dress. Oh, and she can control the dark forces of the universe and can basically crush anything she wants to even though she's like 4 foot 5. I wouldn't say she's evil in particular, just undefined, I guess -- misunderstood.

Frida Kahlo ~ 7/24/13

Frida Kahlo is a mexican-born painter who is well-known for the work of her self portraits. Even though she was born July 6, 1907, she gave her birthdate as July 7. 1910. She did this because she wanted her birthdate to be the same year as the Mexican Revolution, as if her life started with the birth of modern Mexico. Frida's work is sometimes considered "surrealist" and even folk art. She had life-long health problems due to an accident that occurred when she was a teenager and these health problems kept her isolated from the world, which inspired the rest of her artwork. Frida had once stated, "I paint myself because I am so often alone and because I am the subject I know best. I was born a painter."

This is the self-portrait I've made myself. It's more characterized and more animated, opposed to being realistic as Frida was.
